The Castro Valley Orchestra is a class of Castro Valley USD Adult and Career Education. As a class of the adult school, tuition for the class provides us with rehearsal space, a concert venue, insurance and a bunch of back-office privileges (copying, to class management, etc.).
The Castro Valley Orchestra Association (CVOA) is the non-profit arm of the orchestra which provides fundraising, music rentals, stipends for guest artists and many aspects of the orchestra's management.
The CVOA has some funds available for tuition assistance to allow those students who would otherwise not be able to play with the orchestra due to financial constraints to pay tuition for the class, and thereby play with the orchestra. Assistance is limited, and students need to request tuition assistance quraterly (when class fees are due), and is granted by approval of the Association board and music director.
If you are interested in requesting tuition assistance, fill out the form below or talk to Steven Hamel, the Association treasurer.
